Designer Salwar Kameez
Salwar kameez (also spelt shalwar kameez or shalwar qameez) is a dress that is similar both in men women in manner to shirt and pants. The Shalwar or salwar are slack pajama-like trousers. The legs are broad at the top and thin at the ankle. A Salwar is typically gathered at the hip either with a drawstring or elastic. The kameez is a long shirt or tunic with face seams left open below the waist-line to give the wearer better liberty of movement. Therefore a Salwar Kameez refers to the three-piece dress depending of kameez, salwar and a dupatta.
A designer salwar kameez is basically heavily embroidered using different forms of embroidery such as mirror embroidery, zardozi embroidery, soof embroidery or zari work, booti work, cufdana work, kundan work or dori work. These types of dresses are worn in parties like engagement, wedding and other informal parties. Women love to wear designer salwar kameez because these are highly embroided and worked.
The salwar kameez is proper and decorated with much embroidery, but women may reserve their best salwar kameez for the wedding day. Salwar kameez for the engagement party are formal, but they may be a tad low-key, unless you are very closely related to the bridegroom or bride and afford it too.
